Questa serie sarà una delle mie rovine anche se devo ammettere che a tratti mi ha innervosito. La storia in sè è emozionante e Fate e Finn sono degli ottimi protagonisti ma altri personaggi sono risultati piuttosto snervanti e prive di attrattiva. Fate mi era piaciuta di più nel primo volume mentre Finn è rimasto in assoluto il mio personaggio preferito. Sembra l'unico che rimane con la testa sulle spalle.

Nel primo libro, Fate scopre un mondo magico e pericoloso insieme al sentimento dell'amore che la unisce al bellissimo Finn ma il Destino è stato crudele con loro e li ha divisi. In questo secondo volume si alternano i pensieri di Fate e Finn e le vicissitudini che sono costretti ad affrontare per ritrovarsi. 

Fate era maturata tantissimo ma sembra aver avuto una "ricaduta" per circa metà libro per poi svegliarsi e dare il meglio di sè. 

Per quanto riguarda gli altri ragazzi, Jessie, l'amica di Fate, e Darcy, li ho trovati davvero pessimi. Avrei preferito che fossero meno petulanti, dei personaggi secondari più degni.

Ho adorato la scena della ricongiunzione tra Fate e Finn e non ho potuto fare a meno di innamorarmi ancora di più di lui.

Come sempre, l'ambientazione è spettacolare e ti fa desiderare di entrare nei vari mondi e affrontare l'avventura.

Lo stile della Mitchell mi piace ma dovrebbe lavorare meglio sul caratterizzare i suoi "burattini". Non vedo l'ora di leggere il prossimo volume.

Ditemi voi se con una simile premessa avrei potuto resistere nel non richiederlo su NetGalley.

Fate è una ragazza che ama scrivere ed è molto fantasiosa. Un giorno, andando nella libreria ereditata dalla sua defunta nonna, trova un ragazzo di nome Finn e insieme saranno catapultati all'interno di un libro dove il loro scopo sarà quello di trasformare le tragedie in lieto fine.

Questa cosa dell'essere catapultati in un libro mi ha fatto venire in mente il film Pagemaster ed ho provato un'immensa nostalgia. In fondo sarebbe il sogno di parecchi lettori poter entrare nel mondo all'interno di un libro, magari senza avventure troppo pericolose :P

Non avevo letto niente della Mitchell prima di questo e devo dire che ha uno stile che mi piace. Molto intrigante e pieno di descrizioni. La protagonista, Fate, è un personaggio tosto, un'eroina di tutto rispetto, ma che per certi aspetti non mi ha convinto come la sua immediata fiducia per il ragazzo (che per quanto carino, insomma, non darei un'immediata fiducia a uno sconosciuto). 

Per quanto riguarda Finn vi dico che è già finito tra i più leali e amabili book boyfriends di quest'anno. Lui e Fate sono una coppia splendida, due metà che si completano, che mi ha fatto parecchio sospirare con aria sognante. E sì, provo sempre un pizzico di invidia per queste coppie così affiatate, lo ammetto. 

Bellissime le illustrazioni a inizio di ogni fiaba e ho trovato molto utile il fatto che l'autrice abbia sempre specificato di quale storia si trattasse perché, a malincuore, devo ammettere di non conoscere alcune di esse. 

Il cliffhanger mi ha un pochino urtato (li detesto!) ma sono contenta di sapere che c'è già il seguito. Non vedo l'ora di scoprire cosa accadrà. Questa storia è come una droga.
