Di solito, dopo tre o quattro libri di una serie, la storia tende ad annoiarmi, a perdere il suo splendore capitolo dopo capitolo ma questa rappresenta un enorme eccezione. Sto amando la serie del Quarto Talismano anche più del Quarto Elemento. Vedere come Naz e Darius affrontano ogni cosa restando sempre insieme, l'ambientazione sempre più spettacolare, l'avventura farsi più complessa, mi rende molto felice. Come se ormai fosse il mio mondo e Naz e gli altri miei amici. Il tutto è così ben descritto ed emozionante da catapultarti ogni volta nel romanzo di Kat tra daeva, divinità e altre creature mitologiche.
Si continua con la ricerca dei talismani e il gruppo di Naz e Darius è sempre più assortito. Devono sbrigarsi a trovarli prima che un crudele Vatra li usi per liberare il suo popolo dalla prigionia in cui sono da secoli. L'autrice ama davvero giocare con il sentimento della vendetta e della rabbia per creare una storia avvincente ed unica.
Nuovi personaggi si presentano all'orizzonte e il conflitto si fa sempre più aspro. Ho amato le scene d'azione quasi quanto quelle d'amore. La passione non manca (OMG, Darius! <3) e nemmeno l'adrenalina e il furore della battaglia.
Di personaggi ce ne sono per tutti i gusti e dalle mille sfaccettature. Kat dà l'opportunità a varie voci di parlare dandoci un quadro completo dell'intera storia. Forse anche troppe voci. Non mi dispiace sapere il pensiero e le vicende di altri personaggi oltre i protagonisti principali ma a volte mi confonde un pò questo continuo cambio di scenario.
Kat continua a rimanere una delle mie regine indiscusse del fantasy. Il mio amore per lei cresce ad ogni romanzo e non vedo l'ora di leggere anche i prossimi volumi della serie. Ero convinta che sarebbero stati tre libri come la serie del Quarto Elemento ma invece sono stata piacevolmente sorpresa di scoprire che saranno cinque. Voglio un tanto sospirato finale ma allo stesso tempo so che ne soffrirò molto. Ormai ha catturato il mio cuore e può distruggerlo e ricostruirlo a suo piacimento.
