La Brooke è stata una piacevole scoperta. Leggere la sua storia è stato come leggere una favola con tanto di protagonista ribelle, uomini attaccabrighe, avventura e un pò di humor.
Antonia Korelli è un'apprendista sacerdotessa. Dovrebbe vivere in castità, senza sposarsi mai ma non è quello che desidera della sua vita. Vuole amore e avventura e le saranno date sotto forma di Robin Watkins, un giovane uomo tradito da colui che definiva migliore amico e dalla sua ex fidanzata. Direi che questi sono i tradimenti peggiori che una persona possa avere.
Il loro incontro darà una svolta nelle loro vite. Antonia accetterà di aiutare Robin a riprendersi una mappa per trovare la Perla Rossa, un gioiello di inestimabile valore, e avrà così inizio la loro impresa. Finalmente la ragazza avrà l'occasione di scoprire il suo destino e di avere finalmente l'avventura che desiderava fino a trovare l'amore. Le scene romantiche sono davvero dolci e bellissime, mi hanno fatto più volte palpitare il cuore. Antonia e Robin sono assolutamente dei bei personaggi con carattere e tra loro c'è un'intesa forte che a volte mi ha fatto provare un pò di invidia.
Penso che leggerò altro di quest'autrice in futuro. Il suo stile è fluido e semplice e questa storia mi ha tenuta buona compagnia per ore senza quasi mai stancarmi.
Assolutamente consigliato a chi adora le avventure con coppie belle assortite.
